Bowood Court is a lovely, 59 bed residential home in Enfield, Redditch offering award-winning affordable and high-quality care.

Are you passionate about enriching the lives of our residents in an attentive and compassionate environment?  We are seeking a dynamic and creative Activities Lead to join our team at Bowood Court Care Home. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our residents, enhancing their quality of life through engaging and purposeful activities.

Our team receive on-going training and development from our dedicated Training Manager and Lifestyle & Dementia Manager who offer everything from online training to classroom-based sessions and 1:1 mentoring. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging Activities tailoring activities to accommodate the varying needs of individuals, including those with dementia
• Promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being
• Create a vibrant social calendar
• Collaborate with residents and families Implementing strategies to enhance the overall well-being of our residents
• Supervise and train our Activity Coordinators 
• Foster a sense of community and camaraderie among residents through social gatherings, themed events, and special celebrations
• Create strong community links with new and existing partners 

Working Hours & Pay Rate

• Pay of £13.13 Per Hour
• 32 hours per week - includes alternative weekend
• 5 days per week
• Shift times: 09:00 – 16:00
• Alternate weekend work required

What we are looking for

• Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Previous experience within a similar environment - ideally within an activities-based role
• Team leader experience (desirable)
• Own car and driving license
